Smoothies are such an easy way to get a little extra of whatever you need more of, or to replace a less healthy meal or snack. We almost always include a scoop or 2 or protein powder in ours, along with baby spinach (doesn't really change the taste, but gives it a lovely green color! 😆), fresh or frozen fruit, and oats or bananas if we're looking to add carbs, peanut butter if we need fat. Carbs and fat should usually be consumed in inverse proportions, so it's one or the other, not both. A diet high in both carbs and fat is a recipe for disaster. 🤣
