Do more of what makes YOU feel like YOU

I've talked a little about this before, but to me an important part of taking back your life is MAKING time for the things that are most important to you, and that help you feel like YOU, not just getting swept up in the tide of busy-ness that so easily consumes us. This is something that has been a struggle for me personally, especially once Ava came along (though I would never change having her in our family, of course. ๐Ÿ˜‚) Its gotten easier in a lot of ways as she's gotten older, but I have made a concerted effort recently to manage my time a little better, to say "no" to things that don't really matter/ matter to me, and give more of my time to my own piano playing and dancing. These are the 2 things that most make me feel like ME, and help keep my vessel full. It's been a hard realization, but it's NOT selfish of me to do the things that keep me fulfilled; it can only benefit my family. Bobby is happier when his wife is happy, Ava is happier when her mama is happy. As easy as it is to say, and hard as it is to do sometimes- do what you need to be healthy and happy.
